Keystone Heights, Fla., June 8, 2020 – The Gavin Rollins for Congress campaign today announced Tyler Yoho and Debi McElroy will serve as co-chairs of a virtual fundraiser that will be hosted by political pundit Ward Scott of the Ward Scott Files Podcast. The event will be livecast June 18, 6-7:30 p.m., on Facebook, YouTube and numerous podcast platforms.
Tyler Yoho is a personal injury attorney in Orange, Fla. and Congressman Ted Yoho’s son. McElroy, a former deputy tax collector and executive assistant to the provost at Santa Fe College, is the Alachua County chair for the Rollins for Congress campaign.
“Gavin will be an exceptional congressman,” said Yoho. “He’s a hardworking conservative fighter and the most qualified and prepared of all the candidates. As a lifelong resident of the district, he truly cares about the people, land and water. Most importantly, he is honest and genuine.”
McElroy, who has known Rollins since he was a student at Santa Fe College, said, “Gavin exemplifies the characteristics of a servant leader. He is a veteran, a school teacher and he has been an elected official in Clay County for the past 11 years. He is running for all the right reasons, to serve the people of Florida’s third Congressional district, and to fight alongside President Trump to keep America great.”
The event will feature a panel of Rollins supporters who will discuss current issues and his candidacy. Scott will moderate the discussion and audience members will have opportunities to ask questions. The Ward Scott Files is a podcast talk show that aims to inform the audience about local, state, and national issues.
“The Ward Scott Files Podcast is pleased to share its platform and audience with politicians for fundraising and campaigning purposes,” said Scott. “Gavin Rollins is the first candidate in the race for Florida’s Third Congressional District to use this forum.”
Scott is a staple of the North Central Florida community. Through his years as an educator, broadcast radio host, and now podcast host, he has gained a reputation for his insight, honesty, and the firm belief that it is the duty of citizens to hold the government accountable. The Ward Scott Files Podcast streams live on Facebook and YouTube, Monday through Friday, 9-10 a.m., on Facebook, YouTube, iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcast, as well as other popular podcast platforms.
Gavin Rollins is a Captain in the Florida National Guard, a veteran of the Global War on Terrorism, an American history teacher, and a conservative Clay County Commissioner.
